Can't downgrade C200v1

im trying to downgrade firmware to prior 1.1.16 using the methods here:

ive tried a bunch of different versions but everytime the light is red, then blinks green 3 times then goes back to solid red for as long as its got power.

does anyone know whats wrong i really need to get this sorted out :)

any help is appricated thank you !
