We need a status page in the Tribler app that can diagnose problems from the perspective of the client.
It should have the ability to report problems with any known issue, with potential solutions.
It should be able to run dynamically by downloading rules & code from Tribler.org (or GitHub, etc.) so that you don't need to download new versions of Tribler just to add or change a diagnostic.
It would be nice if this page also had a place where the Tribler team could report on ongoing issues and solutions.
The reason I thought of this is that there is no way of knowing if something on my side is causing the problem or if there is a national/regional issue. The lack of social media presence is also causing problems, as the last post on Twitter is over a year old and Facebook is over 10 years old.
My Tribler stopped all comms on 2/24 at 9:15AM PST with no new download or upload activity.
I've updated and rebooted the Linux VM that it runs on without any change over the last 24 hrs.
I have no idea if the issue is in my VM, local network, my ISP, or a problem with Tribler in general.
